50.0 cm3 of 0.5 mol/dm3 potassium hydroxide were added to 25 cm3 of ammonium chloride solution and mixed thoroughly. The resulting solution required 22.7 cm3 of 0.22 mol/dm3 nitric acid for complete neutralisation. Calculate the concentration of the ammonium chloride solution.

Calculate moles of hydroxide used
Acid (moles) + hydroxide (moles) = ammonia (moles)
Moles = conc X vol
Calculate moles of hydroxide used
Acid (moles) + hydroxide (moles) = ammonia (moles)
