Do I write notes in the book or do I just go straight to doing mindmaps for Power and conflict?

if by book you mean that actual anthology, try and annotate as much as you can, delve deep into each poem and try and think of what each line could represent and mean.
If you have already done this, with the mindmaps, what I did was basically write out on the most judicious quotes that bring out so much content and see how it links to either power or conflict. eg, extract from the prelude could be concerned with the conflict between man and nature

I printed out copies of the poems and centralized them so that i could annotate on either side. I didnt like writing in the anthology
