What degree is right for meeeeeee

Hi I’m Autumn, I am going to be first year A levels in September. I’m taking Art (which I got a scholarship for), Business studies (applied), Photography and RS. I love Art and I’ve been told I have a talent for it. I am a creative girl who has had experience on tv sets as I love media and making mini-movies in my free time. I also am passionate about one day owning my own business, and I have been interested in the area of advertising/marketing and entrepreneurship for possible degrees.

At the moment, I think the best career for me would be a Creative Director, as it combines business with art (and I want to be in a leadership role). Yet theres no clear pathway as there is so many branches to get into the industry and it takes a long time to get the role of a create director - any one out here who understands?

Can someone suggest a degree which would be best suited for me? Theres too much I want to do.
Also hope you all are well and safe xx
Hi Autumn,

My old a-level business teacher actually did a business and art degree so they definitely exist! I’ve also heard of arts management courses as well. It’s worth doing some research into them on websites like UCAS. I’m in year 13 going to study business management and marketing at uni so it’s something I would recommend. It’s a very open and transferable subject since it’s relevant in almost every field.

Hope this helps xx

Honestly sounds like you're going to go after what you want, regardless of where you are. That kind of work ethic often pays off. In the creative sector, it's often not what you know, but who you know. You could really do any degree related to your desired career, as long as you make connections along the way with as many people as you can! As for a creative director, I'm afraid there's really no choice but to work your way up to that, but if you can find an employer or a job where you're enjoying what you're creating on your way to the top, then I don't see a downside. Good luck!!
Thank you so much! I have always wanted to do one of your courses, and I hope I do!
