hi, i was told to apply for student finance for the September intake, despite being on the january intake, as the university are supposed to confirm the term dates. However as ive recieved confirmation of my application, it states i start in september still, is this right? if not, what do i do?

Hi

So are you starting september this year but nit going until January 2021? If so the uni can send over the dates to SFE.

i’m starting in january but the only options for the application was for september, i was advised to chose the september option & that the university would them confirm the january start, it’s all really confusing was just wondering if anyone’s been in the same situation!

Yeah does sound confusing, is this your first year? If not were you originally Jan? What happened? Just asking to try and help you

this will be my first year, they put a january intake on because there were so many applicants

Oh ok! So regardless, they will need to add the january intake onto the big database that they all use, and once that is done they can then let SFE know that your january instead of september
