Shocking. Ironic they gave the world covid19 and are now reaping the rewards by selling the west shoddy equipment. Not just ventilators but a lot of the ppe has been substandard, but the west is so desperate for stuff it should be manufacturing itself it is throwing money at it and China is profiting.
When there is an inquiry the PPE part will be a scandal and exercise in ineptitude including the ventilator farce.

Nope they make some good product, admittedly some of its supervised by western companies.

I'll rephrase, it's the foundation of most of their economy.. As you noted, almost all of their good products tend to be derived from western designs - be it bought, licensed or simply stolen (usually the latter).

tbh, what do they expect?

They're probably buying from china to get a good deal for their money, ...but typically we all know chinese exports are not renowned for their quality
Yeah China been selling defective gear for months now

tests that dont work, meaning people were tested as positive when they didn't have virus that could have led to deaths itself..

ventilators that aren't safe

In fairness i'm not aware of any tests that work to even a moderately satisfactory standard, Chinese made or otherwise.
Cheap **** made in China doesn't work
