Well done to all who got their results today =]
Pleeasse join me in slagging off AQA if you need to.
I was really ill during my exams, I had a horrible gastric flu thing and even though I had revised SO much the doctor and exams officer told me not to sit the majority of my exams until I was better. To start with I put the sickness down to nerves, but in my first exam (history AQA) I had to come out to be sick, so I figured it wasnt nerves and didnt go back into the exam.
EDEXCEL and WJEC accepted I was ill and gave me an average grade for the exams I missed so it worked out to what I basically should have got if I had been there. AQA has given me a U for the exams I missed and told me they arnt changing them because under their rules (which are very confusing and only the exams officer seems to understand) they wont allow me an average grade for something I missed. 2 exams officers, head of sixth form and the headteachers assistant have all called up to try and get it changed but they wont budge.
I was expecting to get a B, because I got Bs in most of everything else for history. But I now have a D overall for History.
Luckily we let my uni know at the time that I was ill, so they have still accepted me.. but AHHHHH! Why are they so horrible?! I know its not personal but why cant they just do the same as the other exam boards?!?
And I am grateful to at least get a grade and get into uni.. but you know.. aaahh!
Anyone else got any nasty exam/results stories they need to vent?
Im sorry for the long post as well.. but AQA are meanie little annoying loosers.
