British Academy of Interior Design Ba Honours Degree

Hi all,

I need help from you.

I was looking into online interior design universities and I stumbled across the BAID;

It looked very interesting, they offer a two years programme for you to get an HND and then if you want to, you can study one more year and geat a BA (hons), the price is relatively cheap too.

Now, where's the catch?
Online there are no many reviews, has anybody gone there or got a degree from them?

Thanks in advance xx
Who awards the degree?
Is the degree accredited?

It's not great tbh. The BTEC is an ok qualification but the BA isn't accredited.
It's not a bogus qualification but it's not as good as getting an accredited qualification.
Hey guys, I am looking into starting with BAID myself...It was between KLC and BAID. The biggest comparison is price...BAID is significantly cheaper. The BA(Hons) is accredited, both by BTEC which is one of the worlds most well known qualifications and accredited by the University of Chester...It is also recognised by various other bodys in which you can enrol as a student member of the IIDA.

I am waiting to answers to some questions I put to them and am hoping for response soon. I find this course to be a very exciting prospect...they only used to offer the HND, but only recently the BA(Hons) in partnership with the Uni of Chester, I was informed the price is likely to increase as the years go on and demand increases.

Hello Ella

How's your search so far? This week I was looking at all Interior design courses, including BAID.

- As a matter of fact, BAID has sister companies with Photography, Garden Design, Fashion Design and digital marketing.

- There is another one - NDA (National Design Academy) in Nottingham https://www.nda.ac.uk/

- The Interior Design Institute https://www.theinteriordesigninstitute.co.uk/ (They also have a sister site - Photography)

- The Regent Academy https://www.regentacademy.com/ (They also have fashion, photography, Garden design etc)

If you are looking for a HND/Degree level but cannot wait till next September to start, I would suggest you to look at BAID or NDA. Feel free to browse and check which of them will suit you better. Both of them are based online (but classroom can de done with BAID, should you prefer this way).

NDA has been around for a long time. I had asked about it 10 years ago but I was very busy with my business that time. BAID wasn't there 10 years ago when I searched.

NOT SURE?
However, if you worried that interior design mightn't be for you, you can always go for "certificate" level in BAID or "diploma" in NDA as well as The Interior Design Institute https://www.theinteriordesigninstitute.co.uk/ or even The Regent Academy at https://www.regentacademy.com/.

As a matter of fact, I have bought a course from Regent Academy about 10 years ago when it was on "buy one and get one free" offer. I bought 'Successful Interior Design' and got the "professional Interior Design" free. I have never got it started but found the course manual very useful and easy to read.

If you are a fan of receiving all modules at once, then I wouldn't recommend the Interior Design Institute because you will only receive 1st 2 modules, and you will receive the 3rd module after completing the 1st module (I know because I had bought Photography from IDI's sister site)

If money is no objection for you, then maybe KLC

I wish you the best of luck in your chosen course.
