Everyone who has been to Bulgaria before...

Hello everyone
Im a new member and was browsing through google and found this forum.

Im off to Sunny Beach for the first time with some mates on Saturday and cannot wait. Myself and my other two mates are 17 years old but my other mate Tom is 16 years old. We of course like to party and I heard Bulgaria is cheap so we thought why not give it a go. Especially as England is having terrible weather atm!

From previous experiences, how old do you have to be in Sunny Beach to buy alcohol and how old do you have to be to enter nightclubs etc

Also is there a waterpark nearby etc etc

I was 15 and buying absinthe.. I don't really think Bulgarians care tbh, although I think the legal limit is 16.

Didn't go to any nightclubs though, never been to the beach either as i've only been skiing there

Spent nearly two weeks in Bulgaria, admittedly not the beach bits, but the word ID never even came up. If you have money, you will be served [bit like my local].

id haha. the government scaremongers people here.

i went up to the bar, asked for some absinthe and they were like whats your age with a grin.

then i got my drink and we started talking about how many ak47s they had lol

Ah Sunny Beach is great! We never once got ID'd there- for both clubs and bars. When I went (about a month ago) it was spectacularly cheap. We often ended up paying 50p a shot which was great :biggrin:

On the main strip that runs parallel to the beach you get loads of people handing out flyers for free club entry and things- Viking and Disco Orange both do that a lot.

There is a water park nearby- I never went but I seem to have about a million leaflets for it and they run a free minibus which stops outside loads of the hotels so that might be worth a look.
