I'm a little confused. I was under the impression that Fresher's began on the 24th. But my accommodation agreement begins on the 25th!? Anyone else going to arrive on the 25th?

It's quite simple, they spread it out over two days so they don't have to deal with the entire fresher population all moving in on the same day. So some halls will move in on the Saturday and others on the Sunday. You may be allotted a time slot as well if I remember rightly.

So all Lafrowda residents, for example, will arrive on the 25th? I'm just concerned I'll be arriving later than the rest of my housemates, which would be unfortunate.

Yes, as I explained, it is divided up by halls, or was when I moved in anyway. All people from one hall, or block, or flat, will be arriving on the same day. When I moved into lafrowda everybody else in my flat moved in the same day, apart from some who arrived on the Monday etc as we had some international students who had to work around flight times and so on.

I'm able to transfer to Exeter to readl biochemistry after the first year at Essex. I got a B in English, a B in Chemistry and a C in Biology. I hear the university consists of caucasian, middle class, well educated students. Will I be laughed at?
