Even if you're not sporty I really do recommend that you join a sports club of some kind. They are all welcoming to new members, and people that haven't played before, almost every sport has people who are there to enjoy it rather than take it really seriously (lacrosse, rugby and rowing are the three main exceptions), and they almost all have a very good social side.
Plus it's very easy to become a bit of a slob at University, and playing a sport once or twice a week is a simple way to avoid that.
Meh. Thanks but I have a fast metabolism and I don't eat much. And well... I think I'll probably end up joining sport societies but not actually attend them. So I'll pass.
Hiya! Sorry I posted that a few days ago and forgot to check for messages, that's brilliant, I'm so glad Maybe we'll see each other in a few weeks! Congrats to everyone for getting in!
Also getting worried about not getting accommodation.. Exeter was my insurance so I didn't apply for halls until after results! anyone else in the same boat?
Just looking at registering modules and am being asked if I want Wednesday afternoon off? Is this if you're likely to be doing sports or am I just barking up the wrong tree? Thanks!

Yeah that's right, it's when most of the sports socs have training or games. So if you're planning on joining one, then you probably do want Wednesday afternoons off!
