Apparently there will be an email with information about this soon. Most books should be available to buy when we arrive- or at least I hope so, as I haven't bought any yet either! I'm doing English and Art History :smile:

Yeah there's a Blackwells which opens for a few weeks at the start of term :smile:

I'm coming to Exeter this September to study law, and recently received confirmation of my university accommodation; I am fortunate enough to be staying in lopes hall - my first choice. I have, however, been put in a twin room :/ I understand that I am by no means unique in feeling a little nervous, but is there any advice you could give to reassure me that everything will work out?

Everything definitely will work out, I was in a twin room in Lopes and my roommate is now one of my best friends. Lopes is so much more sociable as you will get to the entire 60 people in the building compared to just the 12 in your flat say, if you were other halls.
One thing I must say is bring as much extra storage as you can, I had to buy some plastic drawers on the first day as there is just not a lot going on there..

If you have any questions about Lopes please do ask, I had so many last year and am very happy to help :smile:

Ah, cheers; that does make me feel better. I have to say though I have been looking at Mardon Hall - my second choice - and wondering whether I should have put it as my first over Lopes hall. I seem to oscillate between periods of absolute certainty that Lopes is the best, to periods of doubt, where I think Mardon just looks nicer :/ What do you think?
