Optometry @ City REJECTION!

Ok so my mate got rejected, he had an offer through EXTRA I think? Or whatever.. anyway it was ABB, he missed it by 1 UMS mark in biology, ended up with ABC.

They're offering him some foundation year in Bradford Uni but he's not too keen on doing that. He wants to know how they look at someone who retook one module in january to get their grade back up..

Would a gap year be his best option? (He will be reapplying to the same course)

Has anyone been in this situation before?

No lol, I don't even have the right subject choices to go into optometry. (No chemistry)

He should be fine if he resits and gets the grades but I'd email the head of admission to see what they say.

Do what La Haine has said.

If he cant, tell him to go for the dispensing course at City after passing that year he can then go onto the Optom course.

I think he should call city up and see what they say, if the course went through to clearing then he may still have a chance, all he needs to do is tell them he missed the offer by just one mark!
