My career plan.

Because I failed my business exam I am changing my whole educational plan. I am still sticking to my carer. I am also in foster care so that is why there will be two different colleges.
The plain:
1)Go to Mid Kent Medway and do a level 2 course in health and social care.
2)Go to USP college Grays and do a level 3 course in health and social care.
3)Go to the University of Greenwich and do Social work.
4)Get jobs in CAHMS in the NHS.

My backup subjects
1)Level 2 early years practitioner
2)Level 3 childcare and education
3) Childhood and youth studies

My backup colleges for level 2 courses
1)MidKent Maidstone-level 2 health and social care(early years practitioner)
2)Ashford College-level 2 health and social care(early years practitioner)

My backup colleges for level 3 courses
1)South Essex College Grays- health and care(childcare and education)
2)Eden College Romford-Health and social care(children's care and learning)

My backup Universities
1)The University of Hertfordshire- Social work(early childhood education)
2)The University of East London-Social Work(Early childhood studies)

My backup Job is being a Nursery Teacher

Can you not just re-take your Business exam?

Although you got a solid plan there.

I can't be asked to re-take my exam. And thanks.

The business exam probably won't do so much as I got a U.
Why do you want to be a Social Worker?

I want to help people struggling with mental heath.

That's really nice.

The only thing I would advise is have a back-up plan for jobs you may wish to go into with your social work degree. Judging by your OP you've clearly put some thought into all this and I see you've have back-ups for the other stages of your journey, but perhaps having a few more options job wise would make you even more prepared.

I don't really want another backup plan.

The question is: are you this organized?

Most people don't, I'd still recommend it.

Oh right.
No I wouldn't say I'm that organised. I have uni choices and a vague plan, but I don't want to be too organised. Life takes you where it takes you and I think a rigid plan doesn't allow for changes and unexpected events.

Now that is organised!

On a serious note, MidKent College is great and even if you're just there for a year, the careers team will support you to get to your next destination. If you are still in the vicinity of MidKent College come a few years down the line, they do offer a HNC in Health & Social Care at the Maidstone campus. I'm at the Medway campus but have been to Maidstone a few times, it's really nice.

P.S. Hope I'm not grave digging... :h:
