Parking in Penryn

Has anyone who has taken their car with them to Exeter's Cornwall campus struggled to find parking? It would take me 7 hours to get home or 10 hours to see family/friends if I went by public transport so I'm thinking of taking my car. I know there are a few car parks in the area and that the uni has its own car park that students can use, but are the spaces available when you need them?

Also, has anyone had any problems with leaving their car overnight?

Hi you don't really need at car here as the public transport links are so good and its pretty easy to walk most places or lots of students bring bikes. You can apply for a permit but a limited amount are gvien to students due to the campus being, as far as is possible environmentally friendly. for more infromation about transport and parking this is the best link https://www.fxplus.ac.uk/our-services/travel-transport

When I arrive by car where do I put my car?

... And what does my parked car have to do with the environment?

@TJCanterbury where to put your car depends on whether you have a permit or not. I would suggest contacting the car park team via this web page https://www.fxplus.ac.uk/our-services/travel-transport
The answer is you absolutely need parking and there is nowhere to park. Ignore Exeter's bs response. The shop on campus is shite and so is public transport. Either pay £6 a working day on campus or £90 every 3 months off Campus for a car park way off that you need a bus to reach.
My recommendation is do not get campus accommodation in the first place!!!! The accommodation is **** in countless ways besides parking:
Overpriced and faulty dryers and washing machine; little control over your own heating;
Ridiculously loud fan in your ensuite which turns on automatically for no reason (fans that don't even work) soon as you open the door (no control of the lights either);
limited network security and privacy in general accompanying no access to vpns or porn (are we children?? 23 ****in years old!);
Double bed but not very comfortable as everything just old;
Desk is long but too narrow and chair is too curved and kills your back.
And all this for over £600 a month! Absolutely rip off!
So overall campus accommodation is a pile of ****. Accommodation off campus is more affordable and from what I've seen better in every way and will have the same social life.
