Hello again Howden people just thought I'd post this amazing list the girl who runs "Sheffield Freebies" on Facebook messaged me. Hopefully you will find it a little helpful.
She basically told me what stuff is in the apartments already, and what stuff its really good to bring.
She lived in Howden C3 last year so she knows what shes talking about....
Here goes:-
----------
The bedrooms have:
Bed (with huge storage inside base!)
Desk with shelf above
Wardrobe (remember to bring hangers!). - Has a bit to hang stuff and three shelves for other stuff.
Theres three small drawers under one end of the desk.
Theres a lamp under the shelf abover the desk.
Theres a bin.
Theres a set of three coat hooks on one wall.
In room 4 you get a bookcase...But not in any of the other rooms.
You can put books on the shelves above the desk though.
In the bathroom there is a small sink,
Shower that runs into the bathroom floor (the floor is tilted with a drain in the middle!)
Toilet with toilet seats that are amazingly easy to break.
You get a little holder for shampoo bottles etc under the shower head.
You get a little silver bin for the bathroom
Toilet brush is also included.
The kitchens come with two ovens, two sinks (although C3 only had one weirdly), nowere near enough cupboard space!
You need to bring your own baking trays for the ovens for chips and stuff.
You'll also need between you a drying rack for dishes and a cuttlery draw, washing up bowl. But it's best to purchase these together once you get there.
The kitchen comes with two microwaves (pretty rubbish quality again), akettle (always breaks) and a toaster. But it only fits really thin bread in and you cant use it to do crumpets!!!
You get three bins as well. Your meant tio use them to recycle but the Edge doesnt have recyling...
You get a hoover, iron and ironing board with the flat too.
You also get a tv with built in aerial signal (again in C3 this didnt work but i think we were just unlucky!).
They'll send you n email part way through the year claiming you need to pay for a tv licence for the living room..as the uni dont provide them. But i don't know any flats who actually bothered to pay for one!
If you have a spare dvd player/ free view box lying around at home that you bring then everyone will love you!
You don;t get given any essentials like washing up liquid, cloths n toilet roll when u move in so be sure to bring some!!
------------
Hopefully you found that a little useful if you were slightly confused about what comes/doesnt come in the apartment already.
