Economics personal statement advice

Hey guys im starting to gather resources for my PS. I was wondering which books do you recommend reading, i have already read armchair economist but i was wondering if there is an academic based econ book as well.

Additionally, I’m going to apply for an economics and maths course at uni, so any advice for the PS would be helpful.
