I've been on this course for years now and the only reason I haven't switched uni is because it's cheap and I need this degree. If you are good at learning by yourself, maybe supplement your experience with online courses from better equipped teachers, get some instructional art books, make sure to regularly watch podcasts and interviews with real industry artists, watch GDC videos on youtube because Abertay is not going to teach you. Barely any of the teachers have real and/or recent industry experience, most of them are not good at giving helpful feedback and only give very superficial lectures as there is very little teaching time - as you probably know by now. Luckily it is easy to pass courses as they are lenient in their grading, but if you actually want to be ready for the industry in four years, I highly advise you to make your own curriculum and/or sign up to courses like schoolism, cgma, learnsquared, thenewmastersacademy, gnomon, the workshop academy, ... - most of these also have free lectures on their youtube channels. Honestly, I cannot stress this enough. Do not trust Abertay to prepare you, they only teach very superficially and expect you to learn by yourself as it is, barely offering any helpful feedback. Tailor your projects to your own improvement, luckily they let you have a lot of freedom in that.
