Student finance help

So I am planning to take the autumn exams so I can apply for uni next year, however we still haven’t gotten a confirmation whether these exams will take place and if they do not take place in autumn, I do not want to take two gap years, therefore I will just have to start uni this year with the non ideal uni offers I received and there is always a chance this might happen. So in order to be prepared for this, should I apply for student finance now, and when I receive proper dates for when autumn exams will happen, can I cancel student finance? Is it possible to cancel student finance and do this? Please help, thank you.
Yeah you cancel the app yourself up until the course start date. If for whatever reason it was later than this, the university would tell SfE you're not enrolled. Wouldnt affect future funding if you didn't attend.
