Marram grass leaves are adapted to enable the plants to survive in dry soil.Explain how the structure of a Marram leaf ensures that the water potential inside the leaf remains high.

Surely a high water potential inside the leaf would increase the rate of transpiration which is bad for a plant in dry soils ?
