BT has signed up a new supplier (Adtran) to reduce its reliance on Huawei for the kit to build a nationwide fibre broadband network in order to comply with a government order to use less Huawei tech, the Government asking telecoms owners sjould reduce the amount of data and calls carried on Huawei equipment to 35% within 3 years although a setback for Huawei it fell short of the wholesale ban issued in the United States.
