Look, loads of people upload pictures on facebook to show themselves to others. It's a way of creating a new life, better than the one they have, or at least they think it's better.
Don't let them get over you, they are probably too worried about being cool to actually be it!

A lot of people seem more sociable than they really are. I mean all those pics, 100 of the same night out etc. Lots of facebook friends, it doesn't mean that they speak to them all on a daily basis. It's a social networking site, people are bound to exaggerate things about themselves and appear more popular with their 500 friends. Your life is probably no worse than theirs, perhaps they just choose to document it online more. Don't let it get you down, not everybody is having fun 24/7 like facebook might suggest.

Haha I totally get you - it got me down last summer, but it's become better. Haha but my summer's SO boring compared to everyone else's. But whatever, as long as you're doing what you feel is good for you - Facebook is just the internet, and like mire said, it's a way to show off for some  And you need to get addicted to another site.. like TSR :p:.

I used to be like that before I used Photoshop to impose myself into photos before uploading them. Now I make others depressed.

In all seriousness, if social lives are measured in terms of photos and number of friends on Facebook, then I can't have one as I don't have it. Just go out and enjoy yourself, why does it matter where other people are spending their evenings posing for photos if you are?

This used to happen to me.

Yes.I feel that I'm also boring because i don't have dozens of photographs of me and my friends in places but at the end of the day it shouldn't really matter.

I feel like that sometimes, but people on Facebook who upload posing photos of them every other day are usually the ones who are very conscious of how other people rate them in terms of popularity. Facebook is an awesome tool to chat to your mates, but to some it's just a front of their artificial, internet self.

I think that makes sense :s-smilie: lol

I think a lot of people have felt the same way at some point. Maybe try avoiding facebook for a few days & emerge yourself into an activity to keep you occupied.

I've been on nights out with the kind of people that upload loads of facebook photos, they tend to spend more time crowded around a camera than they do actually enjoying themselves. Facebook doesn't show real life, don't let it bother you.

Yeah I have found the worst thing is when you read that News Feed bit and it says: '*Your ex* is now in a relationship with *Amazing nice pretty girl*'. aggh!

Reply 12

I'm just glad I'm not in the pictures! I'm the type of person who always manages to sneeze or go cross eyed the moment before a camera goes off :frown:

Yup, i got facebook but i upload only one picture of myself as i do get alot of random peoples adding me..as if it was myspace :| my friends have like over 1200 pictures, which is bit overboard as people like myself don't go through 10 pictures lol or even at all.
I'm only annoyed of a particular old friend of mine constantly adding facebook apps and everyone on his friends receiving like 15 notification.

ARGGHHH sighs...

so many people i know when we go out pose for photos etc and say oh, that ones going on facebook etc. i was out raving with them but it doesn't mean that i lead any less of a boring life than them, it just means i'm not sad enough to pose for photos just for facebook!

Yes occasionally.

No  I have fun at times, they have fun at times.

hm, tbh, the 'coolest' people i know's profiles are the people who have the least on their profile. yeah, they have tonnes of pics, but this doesn't mean too much, the most annoying girl i know, who everyone freaking hates, has over 1000, but she's one of these really annoying people who spends the entire night shoving a camera in peoples' faces.
Meant in a totally nice way, get off the internet and meet up with people, OP, and take a camera

Yep, amazing as it seems not everyone is on Facebook  I resisted joining for fear of getting into the number-of-friends competition etc.

Pictures can mean alot of words you know..crazy isn't it. Even if someone had lots of photos... say 1000 all on one night taken...i mean an entire night party just gone away because of obsession in taking pictures. don't you agree? lol

you see pics of people at really cool clubs..suppose they may be..but what happens after when the party is finished..usually drunken people, fights? depends what kind of people they are there tbh.. where I'm at..yes, lots on some nights, Fridays and Saturdays, possibly Thursdays..varies..

going on holiday..taking the best pictures and eye catching moments but doesn't mean the holiday is 100% trouble free?

Anyhow what I'm saying to you is there's even more people out there going to clubs..practically every night. You do what you think is best for you.

You may envy them...they may envy you. It could be true, not every human out there are perfect in everything.

Hope you do take this in mind.
