What are Sociology lessons like?

What are lessons like in A level sociology? Is it worth taking, alongside History and Philosophy&Ethics?

Sociology is quite an easy subject as it is straight forward and very similar to History. A few of my friends who took both History and Sociology found Sociology to be much easier and often got As. It's just your basic structured essay subject.

The lessons are not very exciting, however. The majority of the time you will be taking notes and learning from a book with the teacher setting regular essays and providing guidance but the topics that are covered in Sociology are quite interesting. You might want to look up some online a-level courses in Sociology to see the kind of stuff you will be learning about. Best wishes :smile:
