what toothbrush is actually better manual or electric?

which is proven to work better?
my dentist claims electric is better but I personally like my manual one
Electric is far superior.
Electric! The motions reach places much more efficiently than with manual.

I prefer manual, but electric is better apparently.
i like and have had both. my best to date is an electric that is the same size as a manual, it's not one of those chunky ones with removable heads. it's great! back to manual now tho and i have a tongue brush again, joy

Electric one! But no matter electric or manual, water flosser is needed.

I think electric cleans better then manual, but when using water flosser still lots odontolith comes out :s-smilie:

electric defo but the problem is, a lot of people use their electric toothbrush wrong so it doesn’t clean everyone’s teeth as effectively as it should be. rather than pressing it too hard and constantly moving it around (which is what i used to do), the brush head should be guided slowly from tooth to tooth, holding the brush head in place for a few seconds against each tooth before moving on to the next one.
