Just had a few questions regarding getting a perm (medium one so not too tight or too loose)

I am 19 year old male with long hair (touches my chin) however it is not as thick as it used to be.

1. Would a perm damage my hair and cause hair loss?

2. How long will a perm last?

Generally they last about 6 months. It might affect your hair quality because it is very drying, but I will not usually cause hair loss. I am not a professional!

Okay thanks for your advice.

Regarding hair conditioner, I don't take any at the moment just shampoo cus I've heard negative reviews about them but they are essential for after getting a perm.

Are hair conditioner's okay to use alongside shampoo?
