Differentiation Question

Been a while since I've done differentiation. Can anyone help me differentiate 2^x + 1
I know you use chain rule and take logs of both sides but don't seem to come out with the right answer

Rewrite 2x=exln22^x = e^{x\ln 2} and differentiate
