university of Liverpool-big data and high perf comp with a year in industry
university of bath-data science including placement year
Liverpool comes under Russell group while Bath has more reputation , which one should I have to choose to be in the safer side, I am looking for part-time jobs also while studying(technical side itself, what are advantages and disadvantages in two universities? can i get any guidance to pick

Hi, I am a current student at University of Liverpool. I'm not sure about your course, but in terms of part-time jobs, there are lots of options in Liverpool. It's a University city, so there are lots of part-time work opportunities in town and on campus. I have had both while at uni. Town is a 15-20 minute walk from campus so it's really convenient to juggle the two.

On campus, there are opportunities to work for the Uni or Student union (The Guild). Both options are fairly flexible and also have summer shifts (open days, tours etc.) so there's generally work whenever you need it. I am still working for Uni now, from home, during lockdown, which is really helpful.

Hope this helps and you get some course info too. But, if there's not a lot in it, then I'd go where you think feel you'll feel happiest.

Hi,

Is it the Big Data MSc that you are considering at Liverpool? I am not from the Computer Sciences department unfortunately but there is some information on the department website that may be helpful.

For the Big Data MSc: webpage go down to the info on the year in industry.

For more industry partners: Computer Sciences department industry partners. Not sure whether these apply to the specific course you're considering, but might give you an idea of links the department has.

Hope this helps.
