acl tear

i tore my acl in 2018 november , about a year and a half ago. I've been researching here and there on whether i should get a surgery and also have cancelled one or two potential surgeries. I read that the risk of osteoarthritis developing is higher following an acl tear, and i'm quite afraid that this risk would be augmented after an acl surgery, is this something to worry about or not?

Also another side of me worries that as i have already put off the surgery for a year and a half, the procedure wouldn't be as effective if i get the surgery say, a year from now. The fact that i have been inactive increases my worry that my knee has weakened.

I would really appreciate your opinions on whether the points i've mentioned are things i should be considering and factoring in when deciding on whether to get a surgery, or if i shouldn't worry, as they may not be true?Thank youu

You really need to speak to your GP about this with a view to being referred to orthopaedics. Have you had an opinion from a specialist about this, or was it just dealt with primarily in primary care?
