Job prospects after completing MSc International Health Policy from LSE

Hi there!
I am a prospective international student looking forward to join LSE for the International Health Policy course. Besides LSE, I am also an unconditional offer holder for a similar
course from UCL.
I am actually deciding on which of the two unis between LSE and UCL will be better for a good career development post graduation!
Also, I aspire to work for either management consulting firms (McKinney, BCG) or think tanks like UN/WHO 5 years down the line.
Which of the two unis will provide me with better job prospects in health policy/management and allied fields?
Any help and suggestion is highly appreciated. Also, if someone is planning to pursue the same course and is stuck between these 2 choices , please feel free to dm me.
Also, is it true that courses outside the finance, economics, statistics, IR, geography, etc grom LSE are not worth the investment in terms of ROI and finding relevant job opportunities post graduation?
Is it true for the Health Policy course that LSE offers as well?

Take LSE.

"Also, is it true that courses outside the finance, economics, statistics, IR, geography, etc grom LSE are not worth the investment in terms of ROI and finding relevant job opportunities post graduation?" -> No. Every course at LSE offers a pretty good ROI, and this is more dependent on which career path you take.

LSE is target for MBB, more so than UCL.

Okay. Thanks a lot for your reply! The thing that you mentioned about MBB, is it like these firms select LSE students from any particular background (course specific) or is it like LSE students in general get preference while applying to these firms?
Also, how would you compare both the unis (LSE and UCL) in terms of graduate employability within the UK or elsewhere internationally?

MBB recruiting is not course-specific

LSE in general, gets preference

LSE > UCL for UK, and internationally, simply based on reputation

Hi guys!
I am waiting for offer/rejection from 2021-22 MSc Global Health Policy at LSE, and now I've got an offer from MSc Global Health Polict at University of Edinburgh.

I have similar concern with the thread starter. I hope to work in international health organizations and think tanks OR apply doctor degree firstly and be policy analyst at international think tanks after PhD.

May I ask if I do not get an offer from LSE but only U of Edinburgh, will it difficult for me find relevant job in U.K?

How's the reputation of U of Edinburgh, cuz the ranking of Times of Edinburgh is not as high as that of QS, and this is the main factor that cause my concern. I may plan to study MSW at The University of Hong Kong, if no offer from LSE.

If anyone would like to provide information about prospective career, plz feel free to leave me messages, thank you!

Hi! I'm in a similar position right now between LSE and UCL and interested in working in UN/WHO in the future. Just wondering which program you ended up choosing, and any advice on choosing and your experience at LSE/UCL? Thanks so much!
