Click on the notification and it's just coming up with my profile but I can't see the actual messages..

That is a harder question than it should be.
If you have a windows PC you can just click on the notification.
If you are on mobile/mac you can view it on the other person's profile by clicking "view conversation" if you have left them a message before.
Otherwise you can probably follow this link https://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/con...272&u2=2861820 to the message left by RC.
