From youtube vids Prom seems like such magical and experience, unfortunately it is highly unlikely to happen this year. My prom dress is currently catching dust in my closet

What's people's thoughts on prom? is it as good as I hope itll be or overrated?
Overrated in my opinion. Did not go the one post-GCSE (I was ill that night but I did not plan to go anyways so in that sense I was lucky because I would have wasted money on the ticket and the suits etc) and not planning to go to the post-A level one (if there is one that is). All of this is probably because I dont have any friends on European soil (only have a few acquaintances that I talk to once in a while about academic issues mainly).
