Advice on These Universitis for Media

So I've recently found interest in Media and is looking at studying it at university level based on some research I've been able to drown down my top 4.

I was wondering if anyone did these course at these Universities could help me understand more about them. or anyone who goes to these Universities offer me advice.

-University of the Arts London -BA (Hons) Media Communications (96 UCAS points)
-Goldsmiths University of London - BA Media & Communications (BBB)
-University of Westminster - Digital Media and Communication BA Honours (CCC - BBB)
-Kings College London - Culture, Media & Creative Industries BA (AAB)

I'm really gunning for Westminster but I really don't like the accomodation, the course overview was in depth and clearly stated what it was and optional modules I could take which I love.

University of the Arts London looks amazing and the accommodation is also amazing. Again the modules looks amazing and were in depth about what they are and what I'm expected to do and achieve by the end of it.

Kings is a new course that is starting this year so not much information is given already but the accomodation at kings is really good and at the centre of London which I love. I know it's a Russel group but I don't think they are the best when it comes to more creative stuff as I see them as more academic and science based.

Goldsmiths looks good and some of the accomodations are really good as well but I just didn't do so much research into it. Too far for my liking away from London but still looks good.

I know accommodation at university in London are quite expensive but money wouldn't be an issue for me when at university.

I picked these due to me liking the course and modules they offer and also due to the fact there are little to none examination. Also largely due to accomodation and location. They are all London based as work experiences I've researched are usually based around London.
Hi, I'm also looking into Media and Communications course. So far, GoldSmiths seem good but I haven't done much research into it. May I ask what job you would like to do when you're older? As I enjoy Media but I don't know what to be.

Ultimately I think Goldsmiths or Westminster is where I'm gonna end up cause I don't think my personal statement is going to be enough for UAL or KCL. But I'm still going to apply to all of them and see what happens.

For my research I used these 2 sites and also looked into each Universitis programs specification. Each of the Universitis I listed above have them on the page except Kings.

This link takes you to Media and Communications studies at London based Universities.

This link takes you to Media and Communications studies in Universitis all over the UK. They work with TSR AND UCAS and other people to gather their information. This site is good as it tells you the average earnings of someone who did the course from that University if the data is there.

Once college ends I'm going to create an excel sheet with those Universitis. If you want I can share it with you when I've made them. But it's only going to be based on those Universitis using those sites and others.

I am hoping to go get into either a PR company or be apart of the Social Media and Communications team in a company hopefully based in London. It may take a while to find a company who will take me on fresh out of university as most of them want experienced people but I'm willing to go the extra mile.

Big tip for looking for jobs in any area is by going on LinkedIn and looking at the job offers and what they want from possible employees.

Hope this helps
finally I found someone who wants to go into PR. omg I've been deciding on whether media and communication was a good degree for PR. now I know.

I do suggest looking more into what degree is more suitable for PR but I do think from my own research Media and Communications is a good but I do feel there are more out there.

I am currently more into the idea of being part of a companies social media presences as it seems more fun and also the idea of creating content for them or have a bigger online presence.

Hi, I’m also studying media and communications but in University of Nottingham. I’m studying international media and communications.
Westminster was a great option for me but University of Nottingham rates higher so I picked it.
When do you start? And what makes you like the course?

I'm still in y13 and waiting offers. Westminster has gotten back to me but it's my insurance option. I picked the course cause I had already liked the university as I was going to do Law there but hahahah well let's say I've had a change of heart.

I went to their most recent open day and I really like the course leaders and how the course is set out this year which is more interesting in the difference pathways you take.

I was going to apply to Nottingham but I think I didn't like that their was an examination aspect to the course and it didn't seem too practical. I am really looking for a more.pratical course as I would rather learn the skills as well and not just in Theory.

I'll be starting next year. I don't know how to link to my other post but I've made a new post showing my offers

Hi I've gotten an offer from notts to do media and comms. I'm thinking of insuring it as I feel like I like the course in Leeds much better. I just want to ask how you feel about your course at notts

Hi, I’m hoping to start this course in September at Nottingham & just wondered how your experience was? Presumably you have graduated now? I’m thinking of putting Nottingham Trent for my insurance & wondered if you knew how the 2 courses compared? Thanks 😊
