Advice for MA Journalism application for UoS?

Hi everyone. I'm hoping to do a Journalism MA at Sheffield and was wondeirng anyone had any advice regarding a successful application.

The course states that in its application you should include "samples of your writing in a journalistic style. Interview someone you know and write a news story based on that discussion. The story should be between 300 and 400 words and should have a news angle that a reader would find interesting and engaging. You should use the style and structure you would find in the local newspaper or website from where you live".

Anyone have any advice on how they did this or just generally with the application process with really helpful!
Would also love to hear if anyone has any advice on this! And also how developed your portfolio was when you applied?
