I'd also like to plug Opera Warwick. We're running two shows this term, Purcell's Dido & Æneas and Sullivan's The Zoo. The latter has an unauditioned chorus, so anyone can take part.

Don't worry if you think you can't sing. Many of our most enthusiastic members only discovered singing at Warwick and have loved it ever since. Being in a show is one of the most enjoyable, uplifting and memorable experiences you’ll ever have, and you’ll soon find that all those stereotypes of fat, screeching viking ladies are completely false. In fact opera is among the most exhilarating, majestic, often hilarious forms of entertainment there is… come along and see for yourself!

Our first meeting (a quiz/social with free food) is Friday Week 1. Venue TBC: check our website nearer the time.

(And now I end the blatant advertising. But seriously, come along -- it's fun!)
