Help with Predation question

Help to answer the questions (numbers 1 and 3 as shown below) would be appreciated. I am mainly confused about question 3 (the second question attached), as I thought that prey and predator populations remained relatively constant?

As it says for Q1, describe the shape and what you notice about the graph. There are peaks of hare and lynx populations/numbers increasing and decreasing in a pattern. The two populations follow similar dynamics but patterns in the lynx population being slightly later than those of the hare
Assuming you can answer 2 and it's along the lines of: decreased hares = less grass and seeds being eaten = population of grass and seeds increases, this can be applied to question 3:
Once the lynx population has fallen to the levels shown at the end of the graph, what happens to their food population?
