Just had a look on Google Maps and answered my own question really. Sainsbury's is quite close so that's good. Anybody know if parking is free there?

Free and pretty much always empty - gets used by people going into the city by train as well, surprised the local authority haven't clamped down on it really.

Nope, I live in London already, so they won't let me live in halls anyway. If you're gonna live in halls, there's no need for a car to drive to uni, cos halls are just round the corner.

they wnt let u live in halls if u live in london? wat! are u close to the uni?
I live in the most Northern part of London, right on the boundary to Middlesex, but becasue I am within a 'travel card' zone (Oyster, right?) I'll apparently be at the top of the waiting list..

If you live in halls, you really won't need a car to get to Uni! It's literally about a 3 minute walk down the road!

I have an offer (A,A) for English and am waiting on English and American lit.

Ooh cool! I'd love to do English, but unfortunately I didn't do English at A-level :frown:

Well I can't tell you what it's like coz I'm not starting the course til September  But I've heard very good things about it! And Goldsmiths is ranked one of the best Uni's for Media and is the top London Uni for it. There's an open day next Tuesday where you can find out more info.

And I've just noticed you're from Nottingham too!

Can I still park there in sainsburys??? and if so, is it for a limited time only??
I have the same question. I've noticed that theres a '2 hour' limit in sainsburys. But has anyone actually got a ticket for leaving their car there?

And is parking free on neighbouring streets around the area?
