Studying law at BCU...

Hey everyone!!

So i may being going to BCU to study law and wanted to know what people think of the university and those that go there who are study law how you have found it and what its like?? Also anything else about the university and course itself and any other advice you may be able to give me.

birmingham city university, i will be honest i didn't know of its existence until now, for a course which claims to be "nationally and internationally renowned" that isn't a good sign. It seems to be a fairly standard poorly performing ex-poly with a mediocre law department

It used to be University of Central England, Birmingham, until recently.

I would say there were better performing Universities that would unlock more of your potential and would still give you a similar grade offer.

the law library is decent i went there a few times in my holidays as its the closest law library to me when I'm back home.

i am going to BCU for law in Sept. I am from Canada and don't know anyone in the UK.
I have not applied for accommodation yet, anyone have any suggestions?
Any help would ne greatly appreciated!!

Also, is living in rez cheaper than just renting a house/app. outside compus?

needless to say that i am freaking out, its a new country, new people and new program! OMG!
