Where're YOU in Parkwood?

IMPORTANT! EDIT!

This thread was originally started by me last year for the 2008 entrants who are now all going into their second year!

Don't want to confuse anyone cos I've already had someone who's going into the Parkwood house I was in last year e-mail me thinking we're going to be put in together this year!

Better thread for this would beeee.... here

I don't mind if people want to carry on using this one but when checking for people in your house/court be careful you're not looking at the ones from last year! Good luck!

EDIT END!

Here's the original message...:

I'm kinda surprised that this thread hasn't already emerged but hey-ho :p:, Kent Uni has been releasing the accommodation allocations over the last afternoon or so and while I imagine many people are still waiting to see where they are I'm going to be selfish and start this thread anyway for those of us that already know where we'll be

Because of Parkwood's layout in comparison to other forms of accommodation at Kent Uni I felt this single thread could be devoted to people just calling out where they've been placed in Parkwood. Realise that unlike Tyler Court and most of the college areas where you've just got a floor and room number (I guess but I don't really know :o:), Parkwood has a whole series of differently named courts and housing blocks so it seems appropriate to find out who's where in Parkwood and maybe you'll see someone that's in with you! :woo: Anyways if people feel the urge to start an thread for other accommodation allocation then feel free  We can provide links in the main post so people get to the right one

ANYWAY getting back to the point, if you've been allocated a place in Parkwood simply list your street or court's name followed by the house number you're in and finally your room letter! So for me it looks like this:

Marley Court, House 3, Room E

Put it in whatever format you like so long as it stands outfor those people that just want to scan down the list to see if anyone is in with them. Also make sure get the essentials down and feel free to add other details like what course you're studying if you like, ^^ In my case it's Law. Anyways I hope this works *crosses fingers* And good luck to all of you waiting to recieve your accommodation offers!

03/F Lypeatt Court

which is the house/flat and which is the room, no one seems to know lol

General consensus is that the number is the house/flat number and the letter is your room
7/C Purchas Court:rolleyes:
Yeh I was confused about the letter room thing but I figured that cos on the form it appears to be going further and further outwards geographically wise e.g. Harley Court, Parkwood, Kent - then I thought it would do the same with number of room followed by letter but oh well if I've been an idiot we can leave it as the number is your house and the letter your room.
Is anyone able to work out if 29/C Lypeatt Court is upstairs or downstairs?

I think it's upstairs. Lypeatt Court is three stories, and I know that at least A and B are on the bottom floor, at least in the house where mah boi was.

So yeah, second floor I boleeve.

lypeatt court is not 3 stories, it has a ground floor and a first floor. (before anyone argues, i lived in 6, Lypeatt).

I had some mates in 29, C will be on the ground floor because it's a corner house, it has a massive kitchen.

Most of the lypeatt houses have A & B downstairs and C,D,E & F upstairs.
