How harshly do they mark your Pseudocode for the a level exams? Do they stick strictly to the mark scheme or to they allow other methods too?

Ask your teacher about it since they will probably be familiar with marking the exams.

Also check out this guide if you haven't already. It's probably best to stick to precisely how OCR have written their pseudocode, as this lessens the chance of overzealous examiners marking you down.
