Hi, I'm applying to UK universities from Indonesia. I once stumbled upon UCAS and I wondered what is UCAS and how does it work? And how do I get UCAS for international admissions? It might be helpful if someone could elaborate it to me.

So (if you applying for undergrad) you have to use UCAS. UCAS is a centralised organisation which you use to apply to uni.

Basically you make 1 application (this will include your academics, grades, a personal statement...), then on UCAS you pick 5 universities & courses.

UCAS will send your application to all the universities you chose and then any offers/interviews/rejections you get will come back to you via UCAS. Once you've heard back from all the universities you then accept one as your firm choice, you pick an insurance offer and you withdraw from any remaining offers you have.

For your UCAS application, you will need to write a personal statement, which is basically a 4000 character/ 27 line essay which explains why you'd be suitable for the course you apply for, and why you're motivated to study it.
Some examples: (not chosen for any particular reason other than having where they applied to/ got offers from included)

You will also need a reference from a teacher, and predicted grades.
