I haven't seen a lot of forums about Latin and was wondering what it's like.

For example, how would I start prepping for it?

The Latin IB is made up of two papers and one piece of coursework. Paper 1 is the study of language and so this will involve grammar study initially, and then a wide reading of either Cicero (prose) or Ovid (verse). Paper 2 is the study of literature and so this will involve studying two prescribed authors or themes.

Unfortunately, the resources for IB are limited, and so we use Latin Beyond GCSE for the grammar and then make our own resources for the literature depending on what options we have chosen.

In terms of preparatory work, I would suggest making sure that your Latin grammar is really secure at GCSE level before going on to IB. The Latin to GCSE books are very good, as is Essential GCSE Latin.
