Panic! Why does my loan payment say blocked?

Just checked to see my payment schedule on student finance but it says all my tuition fee loans and student support loans have been blocked.

Also my supplementary grants have been approved! Any idea, advice? :eek:

Says exactly the same thing on my one and ive sent every form that is needed and plus i have received the letter that has confirmed that i am going to get the student finance!

That being said, i think you are fine :smile:

... Unless someone else has them all approved?

I've got the same issue. Its the same with everyone I guess. It will get UNBLOCKED once you've got to university and you have registered, etc... :smile:

I think that status says Blocked until they have checked your NI number with the DWP once they have done that it should change to approved. Not 100% sure thats the reason but I'm sure thats what people have said before.

I know it doesn't stay blocked until you have registered a uni as last year mine said approved well before I started uni.

Someone posted earlier that the Student Finance websites have upgrades on a Wednesday, could this be the problem?

mine says approved on everything.. and I have the list of payments showing in the 'payments' section on the finance site.

nothing about being blocked.. but I am non-income assessed and unconditional - I think it's a lot simpler than the other options!

That's exactly what they told me when I e-mailed and phoned them. People of this thread: ring or e-mail them--they'll tell you what you need to send and where. Phoning and asking beats wondering and panicking every time. :smile:

Meh, be greatful. It's unlikely I'll be getting a loan at all cos the ***** at SLC don't understand the concept of "twins" and my brothers application seems to have ****ed mine up royally; although he's getting a nice lot of money :frown:

For me only my tutition fees are blocked - maintaince and grants are fine :s

Dont worry i had the same thing happen but they must of sorted it all out cause one day they were all aproved

Mines are all approved now and its weird because my tuition fee payee is still warwick university even though im not going there anymore. Its weird because they have updated other stuff for my university that i will be going to. Will have to call the about that!

Check the page again because mine was blocked just yesterday but it is now all approved :smile:

I've just rang them and they told me that I need to wait for the payment letter in the post, and then when the university scans this and then informs Student Finance Direct, then it will all be approved. So I'll just wait for that then. :smile:
