So I’m at that time in year 12 that we’re registering on UCAS. I am planning to do criminology at uni, starting in 2021. Does anyone do crim at uni? What did you put on your personal statement? Bonus points is you go to a uni in the north of England. For alevel I do Law, Sociology and Politics.

You need to put why criminology interests you into your PS. What extra reading/watching/listening etc. have you done about it and why was it interesting?

Hi there,I just finished year 13 doing criminology, sociology and law and going to Lancaster for criminology in September with an unconditional offer. It's good to talk about what exactly interests you about the subject e.g. the nature vs nurture debate about the cause of criminality or women who commit crime, etc. It shows you've actually looked into the subject and shows your interested. Talk about keeping up with current events involving crime e.g. watching the news or documentaries on Netflix and YouTube. Talk about how you enjoy the crime and deviance module of sociology because that's essentially criminology. Hope this helps
