Depends what you are doing. Breathing correctly (in through nose, out through mouth). Getting the correct rest between workouts. A suitable diet. Staying hydrated. And for a quick fix you'll see amateur runners up to pro sportspeople get a sugar kick from bananas, glucose sweets, gels etc.
