adult nursing or biomed or pharmacy

i really want to do GEM, im currently finishing year 1 of my adult nursing course but the options of which unis i can go to are limited since i do nursing, i have more options with biomed or pharmacy, both degrees that my uni have offered to me to transfer to from the foundation year.

any advice???
Biomed would look better if you want to do GEM.

However, it is also important to consider that if you don't get into GEM you would end up with a biomed degree. Do you have a backup plan incase this happens?

If you would be happier doing pharmacist work incase you don't get into GEM then consider doing that instead but equally it might not look as good on your GEM application.

Do bear in mind I don't know exactly what would be better for GEM, I am just guessing.

If its possible and you find nursing enjoyable then I don't see why not. You have to also take into account if you swap thats more debt (if you have student loans).

If you also find you enjoy nursing there are plenty of ways to become more clinical there such as nurse specialists or practioners. This will obviously require a masters but is much more likely than getting into GEM.

no i definitely want to do GEM, i did bad in my alevels and i originally applied to med and got all my offers but on results day i didnt perform as well and didnt get in, so the uni kindly offered me nursing and since my alevels were bad to get in anywhere else, i took the opportunity.

im considering pharmacy with a foundation year, since that way, even if i dont get into GEM first time, i can get a job as a pharmacist whilst i wait which i would much rather prefer, but then again it's easier to get a job as a nurse since they need more nurses so im just confused on what to do.

the end goal is medicine, no matter what degree i do, i just dont want the wait (if there is one) between the degree i currently do and GEM to be a job i dont enjoy, there's also the worry of failing the foundation year (which i really doubt) but yeah.

just so confused, i just want to do medicine so bad.
