HelloI hope you can help. Does anybody know something about the Government fundings for Nursing/Midwifery students? I read there is the opportunity to ask for £5000 and up to £8000. But when is it possible to make the application? I have just sent my application to UCAS for September start.Thank you very much.Rossana

Yes, every student will receive £5000, with additional funding available for Specialised fields such as MH & LD nursing, geographic areas where recruitment is struggling, and for students who have dependents. It's an extension of the NHS Learning Support Fund. There will be a new system to apply on, but this isn't public yet & apparently nobody (not even the people at NHS LSF) know when it will be made public/when we can start applying.
Here's the info... https://www.nhsbsa.nhs.uk/learning-s...tudent-funding
There's an FAQ on that site & the opportunity to sign up for email alerts so you can be notified of any updates regarding when the application system goes live

its for every UK student, as long as they're on one of the courses listed. The list of eligible courses & general LSF eligibility is on the link posted above

Their FAQ says: 'Students on these courses will receive at least £5,000 a year in additional funding for maintenance and associated study costs.'
