For life. :colone:

Until you die, or you decide the qualification is terribly outdated and ought to be replaced. I can imagine this happening with ICT in 10 years, when Office 2000 is old school. :p:

Reply 3

Who the heck told you that? They are valid for life! LOL:p:

Reply 4

Life. There is no 'Expiry Date' on the certificate.

Reply 5

Whoever told you that got their facts wrong! GCSE's are vaild for life, same as A levels

Reply 6

They expire when you do.

Haha yes that’s true. But this guy is one up on us being a teacher with a superior brain! :p:

always there but if you get a long term job and a degree or w/e they arent that big a deal lol

Reply 11

They never expire because when you come to write a CV, under your academic section, you would have:
X GCSE's at Grades A*-C including
English - X
Maths - X

Nah, you're all wrong, I've got a stamp on my AQA results sheet: "Best Before end: July 2015", but if I keep them in the fridge I should get to 2020 at the very least.

... and I thought I was gullible

Well, untill the next dick comes along saying the qualifications are usless and wants to overthrow them with apprentships or course awards or some other stupid idea so their mark can be left on the education system.

Rendering the qualifications in a much lower regard than they should be...

GCSEs aren't just for Christmas, they're for life.

:getmecoat:

Reply 16

Reply 17

Yes, they'll accept your O Levels, though you'll need higher qualifications too (eg A Levels or an Access to HE course) and sometimes evidence of more recent study.
