Wasn't first choice but been offered a place there.

Anyone know anything about it ? It seems like a good distance from the uni and nice enough to look at. But all i'm reading from last year is that there is alot of crime in the area ?! Any info on this would be nice.

Also reading it houses alot of international students? I myself am not but don't know whether i've been misplaced ...

hi! i lived in monty b last year and it wasnt so bad. Just make sure u involve yourself in all the activities and get to know as many people in your block and others if you can.
Concerning the international students situation, there are alot of them situated at monty b but they are all usually in there own blocks e.g block L and M or it may be different this year. i know there wasn't any in my block, we were mainly students from the UK. though this shouldnt stop you from talking to them either!
if u have any more questions don't hesitate to ask! xxx

it literally takes about 10 mins to get to uni (though there is a bit of a hill) and i'm a slow walker :p:
There were social events going on like bbqs and general hall socials. you elect a jcr commitee who can organise these things. we had a few nights where a club in the uni was booked just for monty b residents so you could get to know everyone who was living there. i was in block c.

Lol dnt worry, i'm happy to answer any questions, i know that i wanted to know what it was like before i started.
theres one toilet and one shower which you share with 5 ppl, theres five ppl in a flat, and you obviously share a kitchen, lol! so basically theres 5 bedrooms, a kitchen, a separate toilet and a separate shower room, its good that they are separated especially if someones in the shower! xxx

Well, as long as I'm brazilian, I'd like to know if there is a problem in being an internacional student... They are less sociable? What's wrong?

Lol it is just that sometimes international students may stay in their own country groups or may finder it harder to socialise with UK students. Thats all, not that its any excuse for UK students to not socialise with them. Personally i am looking forward to meeting as many different people as possible from different cultures and countries xx
