Different league tables rank Unis using different criteria which is why they don’t have identical results. I don’t agree it makes them unreliable but people should consider the criteria the guides are measuring before deciding whether or not they are useful for them

I don’t understand.
In 2019 Andy Murray was 129th in the ATP ranking but he came number 1 in Rear of the Year? Does this mean the ATP ranking is useless?

What I find strange is that St Andrew's ranks very high on UK rankings while in international rankings it doesn't rank quite as good (QS ranking=96) while universities such as Manchester (QS ranking=27) and Edinburgh (QS ranking=20) rank very well internationally but not quite as well on UK rankings.

Completely different methodologies, very different data & data collection.

Manchester is so overrated just like Asian universities. The only reason Manchester ranks highly is because its a combination of Victoria uni and UMIST, resulting in a large university, producing massive amount of research and research is the main criteria for international rankings.
