I have had my earnings in for about five to six months and I got an infection so I needed to take them out but I was just wondering how long I can leave them out for before the holes close. I don't want the holes to close 😭 bit do you know how long I can leave them straight out for. X

They should be fine by now, but when u take them out keep a close eye on the back of the ear because if you feel like a bump or new skin growing there then definetly but them back in! 👍

Ohhh. That happened to me too and one time when I got them done recently I got an infection but it went away. Then when they healed I got another infection so a tiny bit of skin was coming through but I waited for it to heal completely and go away and then with a lot of struggle and pushing I managed to push it back in and it was fine after that

If it was just a bump then it was likely irritation rather than infection. You can treat bumps without removing the earring. Just clean them with a sea salt soak / saline solution each day as if they were new.
