^Love that card one!

I've got three. This ones my favourite 'real life' shot:

My favourite 'staged' shot:

My favourite music shot is probably... This one:

Probably these two! The first one was an accidental, but I love it! And the second one was in Nottingham on the square.

My new favourite, a cat flea!!
The bit of flea shown in the photo is less than 1mm across.

I used my Nikon D300 attached to bellows with a Nikon microscope objective stuck on the end, all of this was mounted onto a precision milling table. The flea was glued to a bit of celluloid and pinned into a polystrene block to hold it to position.

The final image is a stack of 105 photos, the camera was moved about 5µm between shots to get frames with all the different bits of flea in focus. Lighting was done with a elinchrom studio flash.

All the individual images were then joined together by a program called Zerene Stacker which works out which bits of each photo is in focus and joins these together.

Me? No, I'm doing my A-levels.
Pretty new to it all. Probably these 3 so far.

Here are some of mine. Just started so would love some critical comments.
I swear I've seen that second one in a magazine
I admit its not the most original photograph. I think it'd probably look quite good in a curry restaurant with real water flowing behind it!

Have just got into photography so am concentrating on learning some of the technical aspects, i.e. long exposures.
Here are my two current top photographs:

Holy mother of cakes, that scared the CRAP out of me.

And why do I feel itchy all of a sudden?

Also, the talent in here is immense - well done all of you. I'm going to be perving on this topic for a long time.
 everyone here is amazing...

I get my B&W films developed at Jessops for about £7/£8 but am also looking for somewhere cheaper to get them done  I've found somewhere in Twickenham that might be cheaper but not sure yet :erm:

Wow! Really great stuff on your blog, I especially like 'The darkest place I know' you have captured the atmosphere perfectly, with just enough detail in the walls, floor and ceiling but not too much so that the mood in the shot is lost.

Also 'Upside' has a great composition, the framing is just right, so it is not immediately clear what is a reflection and what is not. I couldn't work it out until I looked at the photo upsidedown!
